Footprints

Life is a pristine beach    
for feet to leave an imprint                                
on the untouched sand 
swept clean by the waves

Treading gently 
to not leave a trail 
only rendered you invisible 

It's still not too late 
to stamp your mark 
and be noticed
before the high tide 
of death 
rushes in 
to wash away 
any trace 
of your existence
